Home Run Derby Raises Over $5,480

(Greencastle, PA – September 10, 2017)

The first annual Home Run Derby to Fight Drug Addiction raised over $5,480. The event was held at Greene Township Park on August 27, 2016.

All of the proceeds were donated to Noah’s House, a new recovery house in Chambersburg, PA.

Home Run Derby to Fight Drug Addiction in Franklin County

(HAGERSTOWN, MD – August 17, 2016)

 

 

 

 

 

VerStandig Broadcasting and the Franklin County District Attorney’s Office will host the first annual Home Run Derby to Fight Drug Addiction on August 27, 2016. The event will be held at Greene Township Park, 996 Elevator Street, Scotland, PA. Registration opens at 10am and the derby will begin at 11am.

The event is open to all ages and the cost is $10 to participate. All of the proceeds will be donated to Noah’s House, a new recovery house in Chambersburg, PA. The recipient of the funds raised each year will rotate based on community need.

Scheduled rain date is Sunday, August 28.

101.5 Bob Rocks Raises Money for Breast Cancer Awareness – Cumberland Valley

(HAGERSTOWN, MD – October 31, 2016)

 

 

 

 

For the third year in a row, 101.5 Bob Rocks raised money for BCA-CV through a special edition “Boobs Rock” t-shirt fundraiser. Several local businesses sponsored the fundraiser to cover the costs of the shirts. Special thanks to Route 11 Tattoo Company, Franklin Hardware, Hafers Gunsmithing, Not A Pawn and Del Martin Printing.

Between the funds from the t-shirts and donations, 101.5 Bob Rocks was able to raise over $3,621 for BCA-CV.

101.5 Bob Rocks Hosts 8th Annual Christmas Spectacular Benefiting United Way

(HAGERSTOWN, MD – December 19, 2016)

101.5 Bob Rocks hosted their 8th Annual Christmas Spectacular at the Warehouse at Break Away II Sports Lounge in Hagerstown, MD on December 16. The station went “old school” with completely live commercials, skits, and music.

Items donated from a variety of local businesses were auctioned off on social media and in person at the Warehouse. Lou Brutus made a special guest appearance throughout the day along with the full on-air staff and VerStandig GM Blake Truman.

There were several live performances featuring Shallow Side, Rachel Lorin, and Silence the Mind.

The Bobs manged to raise over $3,679 with all proceeds going to the United Way of Washington County and United Way of Franklin County.

Lancaster County Career & Technology Center Offers Scholarship for a Veteran

(GREENCASTLE, PA – November 17, 2016)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lancaster County CTC has partnered with sister stations 101.5 Bob Rocks and 104.7 WAYZ to offer a Veteran in the community a scholarship. The recipient will receive a scholarship for a five week course to earn CDLs at the Chambersburg, PA campus.
