101.5 Bob Rocks and 104.7 WAYZ Plan Fundraiser for United Way of Central West Virginia

(HAGERSTOWN, MD — June 27, 2016)

VerStandig Broadcasting’s 101.5 Bob Rocks and 104.7 WAYZ will each be operating one-day fundraisers in an effort to raise funds for those affected by the catastrophic floods in central and southern West Virginia.  On Thursday, June 30th, both stations will participate in 12 hour live broadcasts from 6am to 6pm benefiting the Emergency Flood Fund created by United Way of Central West Virginia. The funds will help meet basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing that were lost in the recent disaster.

“These people are our neighbors, whether we have had the pleasure of meeting them or not. In times like these, neighbors lend a helping hand,” said 101.5’s Big Bob.

101.5 Bob Rocks will be live from Break Away II located at 13726 Pennsylvania Avenue in Hagerstown, MD.

104.7 WAYZ will be live from The Café at Antrim Way Honda located at 200 S. Antrim Way in Greencastle, PA.

101.5 Bob Rocks Raises Over $2,400 For Testicular Cancer Society

 

(HAGERSTOWN, MD — May 26, 2016)

VerStandig Broadcasting’s 101.5 Bob Rock’s presented a check for over $2,400 to Mike Craycraft of the Testicular Cancer Society. Money for the donation was raised through the “2016 Rock Your Balls” golf tournament held at The Greens at Hamilton Run on April 29. The event was held to create awareness during April for Testicular Cancer month.

“Thank you to 101.5 Bob Rocks, the participants, and sponsors for all the effort and the awareness they’ve brought to the cause with this event,” said Craycraft.

Participants were challenged to 18 holes with opportunities to take home several prizes including a car donated by Hagerstown Ford.  Other challenges included “Beat the Pro” with professional golfer Caroline Hutchison and a hole-in-one competition with Bob Rock’s Big Bob being the closest to accomplishing. The title sponsor was Hafer’s Gunsmithing and lunch was sponsored by Break Away II Sports Lounge. Other event sponsors included: Middletown Valley Bank, Line-X of Hagerstown, Maryland Lottery, Millennium Motors, Olde Line Tattoo, Lancaster County Career and Tech, Twiggs Cycle, Toys for Tots, Keeler Chiropractic, D’s Nuts, Stacey Nikirk with Le-vel Brand Promoter, and Hollie Hall with Mary Kay.
