G-A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO HOST MIKE ROSS OF FCADC AT AUGUST CHAMBER BREAKFAST
GREENCASTLE, PA — The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite its members and the general public to its August Chamber Breakfast to be held on Thursday, August 19 at Green Grove Gardens in Greencastle, Pa. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. with breakfast at 7:30. Sponsored by F&M Trust, this breakfast will host speaker Mike Ross, president of the Franklin County Area Development Corporation (FCADC).
FCADC is responsible for initiating, implementing and promoting a comprehensive economic development strategy. The strategy is centered on the retention/expansion of existing companies, the selective attraction of new industries and the start-up of new businesses. Under Ross’s direction, FCADC has facilitated more than 800 projects throughout the County. The projects have resulted in more than $2.1 billion of new investments. Most importantly, the projects have created and/or preserved nearly 48,000 employment positions.
Having served as president of FCADC since its start-up in 1986, Ross holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Slippery Rock University and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute, Oklahoma University. Prior to FCADC, he spent more than eight years with the Pennsylvania Department of Commerce.
